Cook and Eat Courses
Cooking with Confidence courses are for people either with few skills in the kitchen or have cooked in the past but have lost confidence. Maybe you haven't cooked for many years. The aim of these courses is to improve health and lifestyles and save money by giving people help to cook meals at home from basic ingredients, otherwise known as cooking from scratch.
Learning to cook is a really important life skill and everyone should be able to make some meals to suit their tastes and their pockets!
We use a “Cook & Eat” style session, where we cook together as a small group, sharing and learning together, and then we all sit down together to try the meals. It is an opportunity to try new food in a safe place. Usually our courses run over 5 – 6 weeks so you will get the chance to try lots of new foods – from soups to sauces, curries to casseroles and pizza to pasties. Our course leaders are flexible and we always try to make just what you want to cook.

- Cookery skills to prepare a variety of meals
- How to make meals that don’t cost a lot
- Ideas for fun family meals and snacks
- Meals that will help you to feel full of “get up and go”!
We run groups for adults, parents, single older adults, families and children.
