Cooking meals from basic ingredients allows you to know exactly what is in your meals and cooking the right meals can actually help you to improve your health and lose weight! Yes – really!!

And it doesn’t have to be just about salad and 'boring' food. Our Cooking With Confidence - For Health courses help to give participants new ideas of what to cook, how to reduce the calories in a portion and still make food really tasty. The main focus is tasty meals to help you to lose weight by limiting fat in meals, adding flavour in other ways, and using lots of colourful vegetables in every meal. And of course – portion control.

Courses typically run over 6 weeks and include making delicious veggie soups, curries and stir fry’s and ideas for tasty salads and we even manage to squeeze in an occasional pudding. We have run Cooking  With Confidence - for Health courses courses in Horsham, Mid-Sussex including Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead – sometimes linked to weight management programmes we were running. There are currently opportunities in Worthing and surrounding areas. 

Courses can be tailored to meet specific requirements - for example for those who have diabetes, pre-diabetes, who just want to lose weight or who want inspiration to cook more healthily for their family.

These courses may run in combination with a structured education weight loss programme, a diabetes education programme or can be commissioned to run separately.  Run or overseen by our Registered Dietitian these courses will always give sound nutrition advice and ideas.
